चन्दनं शीतलं लोके चन्दनादपि चन्द्रमाः। चन्द्रचन्दनयोर्मध्ये शीतला साधुसङ्गतिः॥

Sandalwood is considered cooling in this world; the moon is even more cooling than sandalwood. But the company of saintly people is more soothing and cooling than both the moon and sandalwood combined.

পৃথিবীতে চন্দন শীতল বলে পরিগণিত; চাঁদ চন্দনের চেয়েও বেশি শীতল। কিন্তু চন্দ্র এবং চন্দন—এই উভয়ের চাইতেও সাধু ব্যক্তিদের সঙ্গ অধিক শীতল ও শান্তিদায়ক।

इस संसार में चन्दन को शीतल माना जाता है; चन्द्रमा चन्दन से भी अधिक शीतल है। परन्तु चन्द्रमा और चन्दन दोनों से अधिक शीतल और सुखदायी सज्जन पुरुषों की संगति है।
